Nathan Auer is an American playwright, living in Seattle, Washington. 

Mr. Auer’s full length play, The Physics of Joy, was produced as part of the 1999 Seattle Fringe Festival, and as part of Middlebury College's 1999-2000 season in Middlebury, Vermont (both under the working title of Odes).  It was also a Grand Finalist in the 2002 Richard Hugo House New Play Competition, and had a staged reading in 2005 at The Capitol Hill Arts Center in Seattle, Washington (both under the working title of Gabriel/Joy).

His full length play Carrie's Fishing was developed via invitation from City 3 Theater's 2002 Summer Six Pack in Seattle, Washington.   It received two consecutive staged readings as part of the festival, and is currently being redeveloped as a musical.

His 10-minute short play O/CD was a Juried Selection for the 2003 11th Annual Last Frontier Theatre Conference in Valdez, Alaska, and was produced by Theatre Babylon in Seattle, Washington as part of their 2003 NineHoles 10-Minute Play Festival.
